Your data, never for sale.
What personal data reaches us, what we use it for, who else handles it and how you can see, correct or delete it. It covers this site and the messages and projects that start from it.

Realmakers is not a registered company yet: it has no legal entity or tax ID. The team works from Medellín, Colombia, and we will update these pages with the company’s details once it exists.
Who answers for your data
Until the company exists, the Realmakers team in Medellín, Colombia, decides how we use the personal data described on this page and answers for it. The law calls this role the data controller; in Colombia, the responsable del tratamiento.
For questions, requests or complaints about your data, write to support@therealmakers.com. The same team handles them.
For now, we have no physical address or phone line, so email is the way to reach us. When the company is registered, we will add its legal name, tax ID, address and phone number to this page.
When you visit the site
The site sets no cookies for visitors and stores nothing in your browser, and neither does the contact form. It has no analytics, ads, tracking pixels, chat or comments. Our Cookie Policy has the details.
Everything the site loads comes from our own domain: fonts, scripts, images and the 3D model of the hands. While you browse, your browser requests nothing from other domains.
The server that hosts the site, at Hostinger, keeps technical logs of each visit: IP address, browser, page requested, date and time. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and running.
When you write to us or hire us
The button on our Contact page opens your own email program. Your message travels through your email provider and ours, each under its own terms and privacy policy.
That page also has a contact form. What you write in it (your name, your email, your company if you add it, and your message) reaches us by email, sent from the Hostinger server that hosts the site. The site keeps no copy of your message, and the form does not record your IP address or your browser.
We receive what you choose to send us. Usually:
- Your name, your company, your email and your phone number
- Your messages
- Information and files about your project
- If you hire us, your billing details and the details of the accounts we create in your name, such as the domain or the hosting
We do not ask for sensitive data, such as health information, political or religious beliefs or biometric data, and you do not have to give it to us.
What we use it for
We use your data to:
- Answer your messages
- Prepare your quote and your work order
- Do the work and maintain it
- Invoice the work and meet our legal obligations
- Keep the site secure and running, with the server logs
- Show your project on our Work page, only with your permission
We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising, and we make no automated decisions about you.
Your authorization
In Colombia, Ley 1581 de 2012 requires your authorization before we use your personal data. You give it when you write to us, by email or with the contact form (by ticking its box), and send us your data to get an answer, a quote or a project. It covers the uses on this page and no others.
You can revoke it at any time, unless a legal or contractual duty requires us to keep your data. If we ever want to use your data for something new, we will ask you first.
Who else handles it
We share your data only with the providers we need for our work:
- Hostinger, which hosts this site and keeps its server logs
- Our email provider
- Cloud storage, for project files
- Project tools, to organize the work
- The platforms where we open accounts in your name, such as the domain registrar or the store platform, which receive the data they need to open them
Each provider handles the data under its own terms. Some may be in other countries, such as the United States or countries of the European Union.
We will also disclose data when a law or a competent authority requires it.
Data outside Colombia
Because our providers may be outside Colombia, your data may go to other countries, such as the United States or countries of the European Union. Colombia’s data protection authority, the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC), lists the United States and every country of the European Union among the countries with an adequate level of protection.
How long we keep it
We keep each kind of data only as long as we need it:
- Messages that do not become a project: as long as we need them to answer you and follow up on the quote, or until you ask us to delete them
- Client data: while the work and any maintenance last, and afterward for as long as tax, accounting or other laws require, or as we need it to handle a claim
- Server logs: for the time Hostinger keeps them, for security
When we no longer need the data, we delete it or make it anonymous. We keep our records of contacts and clients for as long as Realmakers operates and these purposes apply.
Your customers’ data, when we work for you
Some projects give us access to personal data that your company is responsible for, such as the data of the people who buy in your online store or use your app. We handle that data on your behalf, only to do the work in your work order and following your instructions. The law calls this role the data processor; in Colombia, the encargado del tratamiento.
Your company remains responsible for that data toward those people, and your own privacy policy applies to them.
Security
We use your data only for the purposes on this page. To work on your accounts, we ask you for an invitation, so you never have to share a password with us. Please do not send us passwords by email.
If a security incident affects your data, we will notify you and the authorities when the law requires it.
Your rights
Colombian law applies to the data we handle from Medellín. Under it, wherever you live, you can:
- Know, update and correct your data
- See your data free of charge
- Ask for proof of the authorization you gave us
- Ask how we have used your data
- Revoke your authorization or ask us to delete your data, unless a legal or contractual duty requires us to keep it
- Complain to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio once you have sent your request to us
If you are in the European Union, the EEA or the United Kingdom
If you write to us or hire us from the European Union, the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the UK GDPR may also apply. Under those laws, our legal bases are:
- Contract: to prepare the quote you ask for and do the work you hire
- Legitimate interest: to answer people who write to us on behalf of a company, keep the site secure and defend ourselves against a claim
- Legal obligation or legitimate interest: to invoice and keep the records that tax and accounting laws require
- Consent, which you can withdraw at any time: to show your project on our Work page
You can also ask us to restrict how we use your data, object to any use based on legitimate interest, or receive your data in a portable format.
Our team works from Colombia, which has no adequacy decision from the European Union or the United Kingdom. When we pass data to providers in other countries, we use the safeguards those laws provide, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
You can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work: in the European Union and the EEA, see the list of authorities; in the United Kingdom, the ICO. You can also write to us first, and we will try to solve it.
If you are in the United States or somewhere else
Some US states, such as California, give their residents rights over their personal information: to know what a business holds about them, correct it, delete it and opt out of its sale or of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
The site has no analytics or advertising tracking, so Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals have nothing to switch off here.
Wherever you live, you can use any of these rights by writing to support@therealmakers.com. We will answer under the law that applies to you.
How to make a request
Write to support@therealmakers.com with your name, a way to reach you and what you are asking for. To correct something, include the right data. Before we show or change any data, we may ask you to confirm who you are.
Requests are free. We answer within the deadlines of Colombian law, wherever you live:
- Questions about your data: within 10 business days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and answer within the next 5 business days.
- Claims to correct, update or delete data, revoke your authorization or report a breach of the law: within 15 business days, counted from the day after we receive them. If we need more time, we will tell you why and answer within the next 8 business days.
- Incomplete claims: we will ask you for what is missing within 5 days of receiving them. If you do not send it within 2 months, we will consider the claim withdrawn.
Minors
Our services are for companies, and the site is not aimed at minors. We do not knowingly receive data from people under 18. If you think a minor has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
This version is in force from October 13, 2026. When we change it, we will update the date at the top of this page.
If we add analytics, ads, a chat or any other tool that uses cookies or personal data, we will first update this policy and our Cookie Policy, and ask for your consent when the law requires it.
If a change is substantial, such as a new purpose or a new party responsible for your data, we will tell the people whose data we hold before it applies. The registration of the company will be one of those changes.
The rules for using the site are in our Terms of Use.
